The Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) have launched an investment company – ABASA Investments. The purpose of the company is to generate sustainable funding for ABASA and its programmes.
One of the key strategies of the Association is to “Capacitate black accountants to meaningfully participate in the economy and ultimately drive the economic and socio-economic growth agenda”.
Eligible ABASA members will be able to invest a minimum of R5000 and a maximum of R150 000 in the company. There will be a lock-in period of seven years to give the company time to establish itself, to mitigate market risk and help ensure growth in its investment portfolio.
